Long weekends in Tuvalu, 2027
Tuvalu has 6 breaks of three consecutive non-working days or more in 2027, each one created by a public holiday rather than by the weekend alone. The longest runs 4 days.
Every break, longest first
| From | To | Days | Holiday behind it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fri, 26 Mar | Mon, 29 Mar | 4 | Good Friday, Easter Monday |
| Fri, 1 Jan | Sun, 3 Jan | 3 | New Year's Day |
| Sat, 6 Mar | Mon, 8 Mar | 3 | Commonwealth Day |
| Sat, 8 May | Mon, 10 May | 3 | King's Official Birthday |
| Sat, 31 Jul | Mon, 2 Aug | 3 | National Children's Day |
| Fri, 1 Oct | Sun, 3 Oct | 3 | Tuvalu Day, Tuvalu Day Holiday |
Bridge days
No public holiday in 2027 leaves a single working day stranded next to a weekend, so there is no cheap bridge available this year. Holidays that fall mid week, or that fall on a Monday or Friday and extend the weekend directly, do not create one.
How these are worked out
Every day of 2027 is classified as working or non-working using Tuvalu's own weekend pattern and its nationwide public holidays. Consecutive non-working days are then grouped into runs, and any run of three days or more that contains at least one public holiday is listed above. Runs made of a weekend alone are excluded, since a two day weekend is not a long weekend.
Regional holidays are not included. In countries where regions set their own dates, the real picture locally can be better than the one shown here, sometimes considerably.
